PSYCHIATRIC NURSE PRACTITIONER

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC), a leading community mental health provider in northeast Ohio for over 30 years, is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our inter-disciplinary treatment team. In collaboration with our physicians, therapists and case managers, you will treat adult patients who have acute and chronic mental health conditions. While the primary responsibility is pharmacological management, the successful candidate will identify short-term and long-range patient care issues; provide information and guidance on treatment and; help implement CBHC strategic objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Psychiatric evaluation and treatment planning
  • Medication management
  • Supportive and educational interventions
  • Consultation with clinicians and case management staff
  • Coordination of care with providers in the community
  • Psychotherapy opportunities, if desired

​QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Current Ohio APRN Licensure
  • Psychiatric APRN Board Certification
  • Unrestricted prescriptive privileges and DEA licensure
  • Experience working in outpatient settings preferred
  • Fluency with EMR documentation and E-prescribing
  • Commitment to community-based mental health services for a diverse population (adults, 18 years and older)
