Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC), a leading community mental health provider in northeast Ohio, is seeking a Director of Human Resources to join our executive team. Formed in 1995, CBHC is an established healthcare provider which also has a strong entrepreneurial culture. Our ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who functions as an employee champion. She/he will also be an excellent communicator and have the ability to achieve strategic goals by driving employee engagement and implementing processes that increase recruitment, retention and productivity.
Responsibilities:
Provide ongoing performance guidance to management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
Lead all recruitment activities including applicant sourcing, vetting and background checks; offer letters for salaried and contract employees; preparation of new hire packets and benefits enrollment; and employee orientation and training.
Review and evaluate CBHC policies and practices in coordination with our PEO to ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
Administer HR policies; monitor record-keeping for Joint Commission reporting; and review employment status reports for payroll, credentialling, productivity and/or compliance purposes.
Working with the executive team, review employee performance and consult on compensation issues.
Supervise all other HR activities including benefits administration; workers’ compensation claims, unemployment requests; and exit interviews with departing employees.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management, Business or related field is required at minimum.
5+ years in a senior HR role.
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP Certification preferred.
Must be fully computer literate with excellent writing skills.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness to ensure quality.
Strong knowledge of benefits administration, human resources and employee relations, payroll administration, and state and federal employment laws.
Previous HR experience in a healthcare facility with exposure to the Joint Commission and CMS preferred.
