INDEPENDENT CINICAL THERAPIST / COUNSELOR

Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC), an established and growing outpatient mental health provider in northeast Ohio, is seeking an Independent Clinical Therapist or Counselor (LISW/LPCC) to join our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES
In collaboration with our physicians and case managers, you will treat clients who have acute and chronic mental health conditions.  This is an exciting opportunity to work in an outpatient setting as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team.
You will:
  • Provide initial and ongoing clinical assessments, in addition to therapy/counseling. 
  • ​Identify the unique needs of clients and develop an individual care plan.
  • Document care activities and client progress in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate ability to work with diverse social, racial and ethnic groups.  

QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling or related field from an accredited university
  • LISW/LPCC – independently licensed to practice in the state of Ohio
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills. 
  • Demonstrates clinical skills in evidence-based treatment modalities
  • Excellent computer skills as well as prior experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse social, racial and ethnic groups. 
  • Preference to those with experience serving bilingual clients and/or using interpreters. 
  • Commitment to community-based health care services
